The Journal Of Professions And Organization is an international peer-reviewed academic journal focused on the role and impact of professional organizations in contemporary society. The journal provides a platform for scholars to analyze and discuss the way professional organizations work, management practices, and how they shape and are shaped by social and economic forces. Interdisciplinary research approaches, including but not limited to histology, sociology, economics, management, and legal studies, are encouraged to gain an in-depth understanding of how professional organizations operate and how they affect professional practice and knowledge production.
In addition, the magazine focuses on issues such as professional development, professional identity, and professional ethics within professional organizations. It explores how professionals build and maintain their professional authority and credibility within and across organizational boundaries. This includes the study of the professional services market, vocational certification, continuing education and professional development pathways. The journal pays special attention to how professional organizations respond to the challenges of globalization, technological change, and policy development.
